I’m a rainbow

Do you ever find yourself getting bored of repeating the same makeup looks all the time? I always find I settle into a pattern of how I do my makeup, stick with it for a few weeks then switch it out for something completely different. Right now I’m embracing my rainbow side with weird and wonderful lipsticks and I recently bought the Urban Decay Full Spectrum eyeshadow palette which I’ve been enjoying playing around with.

I’ve been using the yellow shade Calavera on the inside of my lid with a little bit of Goldine (yellow shimmer) over it, and Gossip on the outer corner of my eyes blended up to my eyebrow. For liner I used the shade Sketch with a wet brush which applies so nicely! A wet brush really makes the colours stand out and last longer.

For under my eye, I blended Blindsided into the eyeliner with a wet brush and also used Hatter and Mean for the inner corner greens.

What I really like about this look is that it’s easy to wear. I’m a strong advocate of wear whatever the hell you want whenever the hell you want but sometimes in the daytime doing a wacky, completely out there look is just too much effort to try and work. This is an easy way of doing something a bit different as it takes barely any time at all (and I am a lazy, lazy person).

Apparently I have the inability to pull a serious face in photos. Who knew?

To finish the look, I’ve been using NYX’s Soft Matte Lip Cream in Rome which has fast become my daily lipstick – it’s the closest thing to a nude you’ll ever see me in and I love the formula. However, I’ve really been enjoying playing around with colour recently – I did this look with a blue lip using Kat Von D’s Poe and really enjoyed it.

Today I'm masking my emotional instability by dressing up as a rainbow
